Yeah, that's very true. I like Dylan a lot. I probably listened to him a bit too much for a period, as I don't do as often any more. People always talk about his influence, but what always strikes me is the quality of the songs. And weirdly some of the best ones are the rare dificult to find ones.

Like this.

And this.

Both of which were left off their respective albums. Shocked Rolling Eyes

Really liked this song.

And while I've posted this before, it's a nice version.

Great song, somewhat irreverent audience. More Beatle than Beatles, which is not to take anything away from it.

I've got every Beatles album from the first to the last and while I am not a fan of some of their songs (very few of them) but appreciate everything the band ever did. The Beatles is something I can listen to no matter what mood I'm in. I got a copy of the white album on vinyl unopened that I got from my mom. She bought 2 copies and never opened one of them so its in my collection now still factory sealed.

Wow, you may be able to prop up your retirement if you keep it unsealed another 20 years.

Since I also have an opened copy that I listen to I'm gonna have it put in my will that it gets passed down through the years to my children, their children, and their children and so on. Eventually somebody is gonna either sell it or open it Rolling Eyes

I'll admit I rather enjoyed that. I get this image of him happily pasting together a collage in his basement studio.

Are you playing? If so, would be fun to hear a bit about what. Smile Although my brass band knowledge isn't all that, even though I did play in one for 7 years. Embarassed

Are they playing Tafelmusik? Gabrielli? Any solo cornet (not trumpet) pieces from around 1900?

That's a really apt comparison for a lot of instrumental hip hop.  I'm glad you enjoyed it, Halfy. Smile

I don't always like Kanye's more experimental stuff, but that was pretty good I thought.

I did look that up on Twitter and it looks neat; I like some of those uniforms. Nod It can't be easy producing a competition with that many people; congrats on landing that gig though!

This is the full program for the nationals. See if there is anything halfy. I have been @work here in Bergen since 8 o'clock and will not be done until 8 or 9 this evening. I'm going to this festconcert after work, and then this big party called brassnight. I think it will be fun!
