Wat.

Are all Australians getting Master's degrees, or are they including preschool in this figure, or something else? scratch

...or does it just take them twice as long to cover basics? Wink

I think Australian basics includes learning about all the wildlife that can kill you. Naturally, it takes longer when you have so much to cover. Deadly spiders, deadly snakes, deadly kangaroos, Lunch time, English, maths, deadly sharks, deadly fish. And that's just Monday's schedule.

That was a lovely melody & I loved the sudden fall of snow & ice into the sea as he was playing, that made more of a statement even tho of course it wasnt planned. And then the sad cry of the bird at the end. Nod

According to Marlinspike Magazine, Harald is already in Newfoundland. "Draken and her crew will participate in the Tall Ships Challenge this summer on the Great Lakesand then work down the Hudson River to New York City before wintering at Mystic Seaport [CT]" no doubt leaving bloody mayhem in her wake affraid

Of course this whole thing is a grand global diplomatic chess game of which we're only seeing a small piece of the board, so I'm curious to hear what Fjordlandians may think of this. study Shrugging

One can only wonder... They are not saying yes or no. It's more like: don't ever ask this again, you'll have to figure it out when or if you get here, also we're really hoping you won't come.

Hmmm... it makes me wonder if the award and invitation was 100% sincere, or partly a dare, or even a trap. You'd have thought they might have discretely explored the legalities before issuing the invitation. Suspect

It was a show-off PR stunt, the classic "hey world, look at us - we're right here and we're best in class!", nothing more. Sometimes I really loathe Norwegian officials. The government kisses American Ass, the rest kiss All Other Kissable Asses (for example Snowden and his fans). We have nice scenery, though.

I guess that's probably the simplest explanation. It does make sense, but it's not very classy. I'm sorry I mentioned it now. Embarassed

The government kisses American Ass,- Ringo

{{Just curious Ringdroteen, but as someone who has served in the army, and with Russia rather close by is American arse kissing and by side effect NATO not viewed as rather important to you in Norway?
The view in the Uk that our government kisses US arse (particularly under Blair) is widespread here, didnt know it was shared in Norway of your government though}}}
