I haven't had an earthquake in aaaages. Sorry for your rumbly troubles Figg!

When the big one hits the west coast I'll be sure to share about the experience. Smile

That warm comfy feeling you get when you hear her wake up, she looks over and goes "enh...I've seen worse" and snuggles back down.

I get annoyed if a dog licks me or even a cat licks me more than a few times, but a kitten can do it all day and I'll love it.

So I'm curious, I took this online quiz which guesses what level of education you have, and it guessed I was a PhD, which was correct.

The thing is, I think it's bunk because the questions were easy, and I believe anyone on here could also get rated a PhD.

So give it a try and see if I'm right. It's long, but kinda fun.

Sign up? I don't remember that part, I didn't sign up for anything. But what level did it put you at?

Or, actually, now I remember it asking something like that, I thought I had hit the wrong button so I just backed up and went forward and it didn't give me a sign-up request again.

I missed 4 out of 70 (if I had the patience to think another 5 seconds it would have been 2 missed) and it gave me a PhD, so if you only missed a couple it would give you a PhD.

The last question was about what element turns the rocks around volcanic springs yellow, I think.

I did the quiz but it didn't give me the result at the end, although I got a few of the sciency ones wrong like peas plant, I put fruit flies because one of my friends does research on their DNA or something bizarre like that.

I got 67 of the first 69 questions correct but when I got to the last one it immediately forwarded me to the e-mail registration page and did the same thing again when I used the back button. scratch The two I missed were

Spoiler:
The first question, the Ophelia one, which I just guessed at since I wasn't sure; and the Henry VIII's wives one which I should've known but I chalk up to a derp moment.

Going by halfy's post the quiz would've guessed I have a PhD, but my highest (and only) degree is a BA so I'm not sure how sound their methodology is...

Spoiler:
yeah, on Henry VIII I also had '8' in my head, and if I had taken my time wouldn't have been thrown off by it.

I'm not sure how exactly I foiled the sign-up when nobody else could, but you can easily keep track of your score.

I had 69 correct out of 69 with two questions remaining [supposedly]. Then it flashed an image of Picasso's Guernica for a fraction of a second before jumping to the sign-me-up page. I didn't get a chance to look at the question though.
Does that mean I finally get a PhD? bounce study scratch

I think you'd get the Guernica one.  Congrats, Dave - by the scientific infallibility of the internet you've been awarded a PhD! :prof:

Interesting that there was a Guernica question, a Spanish Civil War question, and a cubism question though. It makes me wonder what my PhD is in..
