I've been thinking. All this about money going not exactly where they were suppost to go, it goes for many non-profit orginasasastiondskdl. org. And if their goal is to create awarness, then they have made it. And, as it says, it is an experiment, and ofcourse, people putting up posters and all won't help.. really. But if governement and people with actual power do something because the poeple ddemand it, that's something isn't it? and it is an experiment, so if we can do this, if we "arrest" Kony, just imagen what els we can do. Think about climat change for example! If we pull this of, maybe there's hope in humanity after all. Just saying Wink

and.. ofcourse making films and travel around on seminars cost money and where would they be without the video.

The latest news on this front is that Jason Russel, the director/narrator of Kony 2012 (the one who talks to his son in the video) was arrested in San Diego on Thursday for a possibly drunken rampage in which he allegedly ran around the streets naked, vandalizing cars, and masturbating in public. There's also video of part of the incident (it has nudity but nothing too bad).

According to the group, Russel was suffering from "exhaustion, dehydration, and malnutrition". He was apparently not arrested but is in a psychiatric institution being evaluated and given care. The video should stand or fall on its own, but this was so surreal that I wanted to share it. You can read the full story, but the first paragraph is the most memorable part.

The blonde-haired, blue-eyed, Christian filmmaker behind the Internet’s most recent famous activism campaign, “Kony 2012,” has been arrested. For masturbating. And being drunk. And vandalizing cars. In public. In the morning.

Maybe he wouldn't want that notoriety as he grows up. Tasteless and thoughtless 'joke' really. Oh well! If we get a laugh out of the poor kid, that's all that matters I s'pose....

He already is "that kid" or "that guy's kid" since he was in the Konyo movie (which I still haven't seen btw), that he'd be further used in stuff like this doesn't surprise me. He's an easy target, an obvious joke, "just saying what everybody is thinking". It feeds the critics who said he shouldn't have been used in the movie, but no matter how you look at it I wish people would have the decency to let the kid be. Sad

Yeah, I'm sure that this picture will be seen by millions of people and make the kid a household name. Think of all the people who never would have heard of Kony 2012, Jason Russell, or his son if it wasn't for that picture. Oh wait, those people don't exist, because anyone seeing that picture online is practically guaranteed to be familiar with Kony 2012 already even if they haven't seen the video. Rolling Eyes
