When I get the chance I shall try to find the maps you recommend Elthir and see if I can create a comparison map out of them and post it here. Might be interesting.

Its not from that daft film with the bird that falls in love with a shop dummy is it? Was that Molly Ringwald? I had a girlfriend loved that film, I hated it.

Love that film <3

I'm not certain but I think it's actually from the dance scene with Duckie in Sixteen Candles. Well I hope it is 'cos I've been referencing it to death! Sadly I think the references were wasted on most people Very Happy

I don't think we ever got around to a full compilation of Allyisms.

For Malick, here's a typical sample which I can quote from memory:

------

"I'm very popular on the internet, lots of things going on" I whisper to my cat.

My cat doesn't respond because he's not there.  He doesn't exist and I am alone.

----

Ally, come back.  The Most Enigmatic forumshire award will never be the same without you!  Sad

What do you call it when a small landmass or view of a piece of a landmass on a map looks very similar to a large landmass or piece of a landmass on a map?

Are they analogous? Is there some geographical term?

For example, Kazakhstan looks kind of like Russia while being quite small in comparison.
