I was gonna say that. Laughing

I'm afraid that I'm one of those philistines who found ST:TMP to be painfully boring. Although I was only slightly more engaged by Wrath of Khan...

I have an edit of Motion Picture with all the boring attempts to be St: 2001 cut back out- its probably the best of the original films once you do that (and only 1hr 50 long)

Me and a similarly aged friend were having drinks. Past a certain age you are continually bemused by the age of the tender young things who pop up to take your order. My friend decided to rub it in by asking her what she considered to be classic rock. She ruminated for a few seconds and said "I dunno...the Backstreet Boys?"

We dumped our drinks and went in search of a shuffleboard court.

There's a fine line between generation gaps and cultural illiteracy. Mad

That said, I have gotten into arguments over whether or not Nirvana is -- or will soon be -- considered "classic". Very Happy

It's been a long time since I've seen the film but there is probably a worthwhile film to be salvaged from it, I agree.
