{{ The final total ended up at 17 gone.
Boris is still filling roles but there's a few already in place-

Raab is Foreign Sec
A scary one I reckon is a Patel to Home Office- she scares the crap out of me, she makes Thatcher look like a compassionate warm human being. She was previously sacked for holding unauthorised meetings with Israeli officials. And now she is in charge of the police and law and order!
Jaavid is our new Chancellor.
Wallace for Defence Sec
Gove gets a title of sorts, Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster, which is basically a Minister without a portfolio (read attack hound for Boris).
Truss has gone to International Trade.
Hancock is one of the few survivors, remaining at Health.
And Rudd survives too at Work and Pensions and has had Women and equalities added to her brief.
Williamson (who got sacked form Defence 3 months ago for leaking) is now back as Education Secretary.
Morgan at Culture.
Villers Environment.
Ledsom got Business.
Buckland at Justice.
Shama for International Development.
Shapps (Boris campaign manager) gets Transport.
Smith (former Chief Whip) is now the Northern Ireland sec.
Jack (only elected last year) is tipped for Scottish Sec.
Cairns remains as Welsh sec.

Think that's everyone so far. }}

{{ She scares me more. Here Pate'ls voting record- she voted against equal gay rights. She voted against same sex marriage. She voted against strengthening human rights laws and against assisting young people getting out of poverty. She has vote for stronger immigration laws, stricter asylum system, and she voted against a ban on detaining pregnant women in detention centres. And she is on record saying EU nationals who are already here should not have an automatic right to remain after Brexit.

And lets not forget she was sacked for breaking the law! She breached the ministerial code in a very serious manner after holding secret meetings with Israeli officials, lobbyists and business folk.

And now she is charge of UK law and order. }}

The number of people who have been saved from execution due to DNA analysis years later is frightening. It demonstrates both that 'burden of proof' is far more subjective than we'd like to think, and that thankfully the appeals process works (and is very necessary to a functioning justice system).

{{ Boris is coming to Scotland to defend the Union!

And he is announcing 300million in funding for Scotland, Northern Ireland and Wales though 'growth funds' which will give extra cash to varies regions in the devolved areas.

It should be noted that he has already announced a similar scheme for England with emphasis on regions in the north of England and the midlands. Though that was a considerably more substantial bribe of 3.6 billion.

300 million split three ways seems rather insulting in comparison.

Apparently he will say:

"Our Union is the most successful political and economic union in history. We are a global brand and together we are safer, stronger and more prosperous.
So as we prepare for our bright future after Brexit, it's vital we renew the ties that bind our United Kingdom.
I'm proud to be in Scotland today to make clear that I am a passionate believer in our great Union."

Just for the record- Boris earlier when writing for the Spectator-

"That (Gordon Brown becoming PM) would be utterly outrageous, not just because he is a gloomadon-popping, interfering, high-taxing complicator of life, but mainly because he is a Scot, and government by a Scot is just not conceivable in the current constitutional context."

and...

"Johnson claimed that Brown was "not really interested in British values" but instead in "his personal political disability as a Scottish MP."

and..

'he authorised the publication of a poem..The poem, which has since been removed from the magazine's archive, was written by then staffer James Michie...It described Scots as "tartan dwarves" who were "polluting our stock" and suggested that the country should be turned into a "ghetto" with the inhabitants submitted for "extermination."

Meanwhile Ruth Davidson, leader of the Scottish Tory Party in Holyrood has given Boris her backing in his efforts to get a deal, but not on no-deal.

""He has my full support in those efforts. Where I differ with the UK government is on the question of a no-deal Brexit.
When I was debating against the pro-Brexit side in 2016, I don't remember anybody saying we should crash out of the EU with no arrangements in place to help maintain the vital trade that flows uninterrupted between Britain and the European Union.
I don't think the government should pursue a no-deal Brexit and, if it comes to it, I won't support it."

So Boris is coming here to tell us how better it is together, what a great Union we have, when he cant even create union between the Scottish Tory party and the Westminster one!

It also highlights the differences between us, Davidson knows she cant support a no-deal and expect to do well at Scottish elections after it. Its electoral suicide for her just when she is building the party back up in Scotland as a viable electoral prospect. For that reason she will never support a no-deal. }}

I believe he ( Boris )  is a very deep, calculating, self preserving animal.  He knows the bumbling oaf act is an effective way of getting the public to like him, to think & see that Boris is "one of us", Hes not. Politics is a game. A game for the politicians to play to get to the highest order, to reap what we the ordinary guy sows. To rob & delve without being found out & to keep all gains & benefits for a long & happy life. If Government were installed to make our lives profitable & happier then it would be & we would not have the need to rant & protest as we do. Your 1st mistake is to think he's a lovable chap, he waffles, gets tongue tied, lowers his Bambi like eyes, Uhuh.  Sleep with one eye open I say.

{{Well Boris' trip to Scotland went about as well as expected. He arrived to booing crowds, went into Bute house to the accompaniment of booing crowds, had a meeting with Sturgeon at which she challenged him to a live TV debate on independence, and he chickened it and bolted out the back door to avoid the protesters. Mad

But of more substance was Boris's windsock politics on display.
On Sunday he was sending his attack dog Gove round the news channels to put it about that the UK govenrment now considered a NO Deal to be the default position.

'Mr Gove...writing in the Sunday Times, he added: "No deal is now a very real prospect."
Prime Minister Boris Johnson has told Mr Gove to chair no-deal meetings seven days a week until Brexit is delivered...Mr Gove said tweaks to Theresa May's withdrawal agreement would not be enough..."You can't just reheat the dish that's been sent back and expect that will make it more palatable...He added he hoped EU leaders might yet open up to the idea of striking a new deal, "but we must operate on the assumption that they will not".- BBC News

Now Boris saying that in Scotland is electoral suicide. If you need proof of that look no further than Ruth Davidson, Tory leader in Scotland who is publicly refusing to back her PM saying she will not support a No Deal.

'Ms Davidson has said publicly that she would not support a no-deal exit from the EU and that as leader of the Scottish party she does not have to sign up to any loyalty pledge to support a no deal.
She believes the PM would have sacked her if he could. But he can't - and she will take full advantage of her ability to speak out in public.'

Cue Boris arriving in Scotland to suddenly tell the country that he isn't going for a no deal at all, no, no, he is going to get a deal.

'Mr Johnson said he was "very confident" that with "goodwill on both sides" a new agreement Brexit could be drawn up...he would "hold out the hand" and "go the extra thousand miles" in pursuit of a new deal.

Its like he thinks we can't hear him when he says all his hard line, hard Brexit, no-deal stuff in England so he can come here, say the opposite and we will believe him! Mad }}

{{ Our new Home Secretary Scary Patel is off to an expected start- she wants the police to bring terror to the streets! Because that what you want your police known for- terror!

Oh and apparently she not only doesn't advocate for capital punishment she claims now she never did!

"I have never said I'm an active supporter of it and [what I said] is constantly taken out of context."

Ok here's a full previous statement- see if you can think of a context in which this isn't saying she is in support of capital punishment- 'cause I can't

"I do actually think when we have a criminal justice system that continuously fails in this country and where we have seen murderers, rapists and people who have committed the most abhorrent crimes in society, go into prison and then are released from prison to go out into the community to then re-offend and do the types of crime they have committed again and again.
I think that's appalling. And actually on that basis alone I would actually support the reintroduction of capital punishment to serve as a deterrent."

Yeah, seems to be a trend among current politicians that even when they are on record, on film, recorded on tape or all three saying something they still think if they just repeat the new lie often enough everyone will forget the past and never think to look it up on youtube or google. Mad
The worrying but is they might be right! No }}

Politicians telling Big Lies is nothing new of course. It's just that it used to be a bit more difficult to catch them at it, but even then it often wasn't enough to keep them out of office.
Nixon had been known as "Tricky Dick" since his early days in CA state politics and everybody appeared to know how he played the game, yet it didn't stop him rising to President.
I don't know, we actually seem to be charmed somehow by liers. It's the art of the carnival barker, the snake oil salesman, the TV commercial. We KNOW it's a lie, but for some reason we keep buying, almost BECAUSE it's a lie.....  Suspect
