Geez, never heard of a sprinkler system? Or did that fail?

It is literally unbelievable. its one of, if not the only, British Art Nouveau building in the UK. its a tragedy for mankind. my brain doesn't compute the enormity of this loss. it must be criminal arson, surely? its been sitting there ok since 1909, so why now? twice!!!! No fuqsake.

{{{RIP John McCain- farewell to possibly the last great American statesman and a man who lived a remarkable life of service

He was one of the good ones. I have hope for the likes of Cory Booker to step up, but we have nobody else of McCain's stature at this time.

Sad

I've always thought of John McCain and John Glenn as senators out of the same mold on opposite sides of the political aisle. With people like that in charge back then, things often used to get done for the greater good of the Nation(not just for the personal good of the party elites and their favorite donors Mad )

Sadly they don't seem to make 'em like that anymore Sad

Sadness all around.
Adam Faith
Burt Reynolds

Liz Fraser ( carry on films )
Kofi Annan
Aretha Franklin
Its a long list this year, so many people we've known, some so young, some a bit older.

{{{ He seemed to live a long, happy and fulfilled life, and had the fortune to live long enough to see his work appreciated by a much larger audience than he could have dreamed of when he began. I don't think you should mourn such a life, but celebrate it. Thanks for all the fantastic tales Stan! pub  }}}
